Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a warm mahogany core; a honeyed gold glow.
Nose
Peat smoke rises over a rich sherry bouquet, dusky and inviting. Dark dried fruits—raisin, fig, plum—slide with cocoa nibs, vanilla, and toasted almond. Cinnamon and clove threads weave through the aroma, while a delicate maritime note and oak sweetness frame the profile.
Palate
Peat smoke fans the rich sherry sweetness, delivering prune, fig and dark chocolate with a glossy, syrupy mouthfeel. Treacle, coffee bean and toasted oak mingle with gentle spice—clove, black pepper—while the high ABV lingers, leaving a long, warming finish of smoke-tinged fruit and cocoa.
Finish
Long, richly peated and sherried, the finish unfolds with sweet dried fruits, dark chocolate and toasted oak; peat lingers, softening into spice and black pepper, leaving a warm, resinous glow and a gentle coastal salinity that lingers on the palate.
