Colour
Deep burnished amber with mahogany depth and a coppery, ruby-tinted glow.
Nose
Rich, fruity and nutty, the nose unfolds with fruit cake and candied fruits, kissed by burnt sugar, cinnamon and a hint of liquorice.
Palate
Sweet and fruity on the palate, where Chinese peach and apricot meet grape juice, with a creamy vanilla sponge cake undertone. Subtle spice echoes from the Spanish ex-Oloroso cask, leaving a lingering, softly luxurious finish.
Finish
Long, velvety finish of dark sherry sweetness: dried figs and prunes, burnt sugar and toffee, with cinnamon and liquorice. Toasted nut notes drift in as the warmth lingers, leaving a refined oak-vanilla echo.
