Initially matured in a vatting of bourbon hogshead casks, this single malt from Teaninich also enjoyed a finishing period in 1st fill Madeira barriques from Justino's. Having been nurtured for its final 3½ years in these exceptional casks, the Teaninich spirit has developed superb depth and complexity.

(TEA-an-in-ich) Teaninich was founded in 1817 by Captain Hugh Munro on his estate near Alness in the Highlands, making it one of the earlier legal distilleries of the Scotch whisky era. Ownership changed several times during the 19th and early 20th centuries before the distillery passed into DCL in 1933, placing it within the business that eventually became part of Diageo.
