Tasting Notes

Nose

Aromas of vanilla-forward oak and toffee form a warm base, while Marsala finish lends depth with dried fig, raisin and orange zest. Almond and cocoa nib mingle with caramel, touched by cinnamon and nutmeg for a refined, spice-kissed Highland bouquet.

Palate

Silky, full-bodied palate with a warm, creamy texture. Dried plum and raisin mingle with orange zest, vanilla, and toffee from American oak. Marsala finishing adds plush wine sweetness, caramelized sugar, and a hint of cocoa. Subtle spice - cinnamon and nutmeg - emerges with toasted almond notes. The finish streaks long, fruity and gently oak-driven, leaving a lingering, luxurious sweetness.

(TEA-an-in-ich) Teaninich was founded in 1817 by Captain Hugh Munro on his estate near Alness in the Highlands, making it one of the earlier legal distilleries of the Scotch whisky era. Ownership changed several times during the 19th and early 20th centuries before the distillery passed into DCL in 1933, placing it within the business that eventually became part of Diageo.
