The Mossburn Vintage Casks range are a collection of Single Malt Scotch Whiskies each issuing from a strictly limited and select batch of casks from some of Scotland's most distinguished distilleries.
The Mossburn company of distillers and blenders will soon have a distillery in the Borders and are also the company behind the new and now operational Torabhaig distillery on Skye.
Each numbered release will only ever yield a finite number of bottles.
Release number 4 is a small batch and cask strength Teaninich, a North Highlands distillery.
Aged for 10 years in a refill Oloroso Butt.
Distilled 2007 Bottled 30/11/2017 without any colouring or chill filtration.
Comes alive with a drop of water revealing pleasing waxy orchard fruits with a herbal and subtle spice edge.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with warm coppery reflections and a touch of mahogany, a sunlit, honeyed glow.
Nose
Fresh and vibrant on the nose: white grapefruit, grassy herb, and delicate florals rise with lemon thyme and lavender. Vanilla oak lends gentle sweetness as apple dusted with icing sugar mingles with white pepper and white currant-like fruit. With a drop of water, waxy orchard fruits surface, edged by a herbal, subtle spice.
Palate
Silky and oily on the palate, with almond and white grapefruit at the core, edged by herbal notes and a waxy orchard-fruit sweetness. Peppery spice mid-palate adds lift, finishing long with a touch of oak and citrus.
Finish
Barley sugar and pear drops open, giving way to oily, herbal notes with peppery almond, vanilla oak, and a bright lemon curd fade.
