Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery warmth and a mahogany-tinted glow.
Nose
Elegant and deeply aged, the nose opens with dried fig and orange peel, ripe sultana, and toffee sweetness. Vanilla and polished oak frame a sherried fruit depth, with cocoa, leather, and a touch of spice. A refined, contemplative aroma that speaks of decades of patient maturation and quiet reserve.
Palate
Tamnavulin unfurls a silky, richly sherried palate with dark fig and raisin, layered with orange zest, espresso and bittersweet chocolate. Spices of cinnamon and nutmeg weave through polished oak, while a velvety mouthfeel carries a long, warm finale of almond, coffee and subtle tobacco.
Finish
Extremely long, refined finish of sherry-led sweetness, with prune and fig, cocoa and toasted almond. Spiced oak unfolds and lingers, settling into a warm, tobacco-tinged glow that persists long after the last sip.
