Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with honeyed warmth and hints of sunset copper.
Nose
Fondant cakes and apricot jam lead the bouquet, mingling with marzipan and ripe canteloupe melon, accented by ginger and a glaze of pastries.
Palate
On the palate, Battenberg cake and peach cobbler mingle with bright orange curd, cinnamon toast and aromatic spices, while chocolate truffles lend velvet depth; a subtle sherry-soaked sponge threads through, and juicy sultanas lend a sun-kissed sweetness.
Finish
Long, comforting finish of orchard fruit jam and syrupy sponge pudding, unfolding into vanilla custard and warm Danish pastries. The sweetness lingers softly, a bakery-rich fade with a gentle kiss of spice.
