Tasting Notes
Colour
Dense amber with mahogany depth and coppery highlights, a sun-warmed, sherry-kissed glow.
Nose
An aged Springbank nose exudes coastal air and smoke: brine-laden peat, malt sweetness, and a whisper of vanilla. Dried fig and toffee mingle with lacquered oak; faint maritime iodine and leather rise as the glass warms, finishing with mineral notes and a quiet, comforting peat glow.
Palate
Soft, maritime peat coats the palate with a waxy, oily texture. Briny minerals mingle with sherry-tinged sweetness—figs, dried plum, and dark chocolate—while subtle spice, toasted almond, and vanilla emerge. The finish is long and smoky, with sea-salt and oak notes lingering.
Finish
Long maritime finish with subtle peat smoke and saline sweetness, underscored by sherry-tinged fruit. Oak and spice linger, giving toasted almond and cocoa notes as the warmth slowly fades to a dry, coastal edge.
