Springbank 2012 Edition Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky 21 Year Old
Out of stock
Springbank return to their use of space-age metallic packaging for their latest 21 year old, but this time in gold. I guess it doesn't really matter what packaging they use because everyone seems to want this bottle regardless! Please excuse the poor quality photograph as the box is so reflective it drives our camera crazy. As you can probably imagine we have very very limited stock available.
Featured in Ian Buxton's 101 legendary whiskies you're dying to try but (possibly) never will book.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich golden amber, radiant and honeyed with warm copper highlights.
Nose
Coastal peat and sea spray frame a suave sherry-forward nose: dark fruit, plum and raisin, with mocha, orange zest and vanilla. Toasted oak and spice add elegance, while a faint iodine note recalls Campbeltown brine, giving this 21-year-old whisky a refined maritime allure.
Palate
Opulent and poised on the palate, this 21-year Springbank delivers coastal smoke with a sherry-fueled sweetness. Dried fig and raisin mingle with orange zest, toffee and dark chocolate as a waxy malt coats the tongue. Peppery peat threads through oak vanilla, leaving a long, dry finish of maritime resin and subtle medicinal notes.
Finish
Long, smoky finish with maritime salt and sherried sweetness. Dried fig and dark chocolate mingle with gentle peat, while cinnamon and leather notes linger, fading into warm oak and a final whisper of vanilla.
