Tasting Notes
Colour
Jet-black and glossy, an obsidian-dark elixir with a lacquered sheen and velvet-ebony depth.
Nose
Powerful peat smoke dominates, edged with iodine and sea-salt. Rich Sherry notes unfold—prune and fig with a lick of cacao—complemented by espresso and vanilla. Cedar, toasted spice, and a lacquered, resinous sweetness weave through, finishing in a polished, enduring smoke.
Palate
On the palate, a dense, oily mouthfeel carries a wave of peat smoke sharpened by sherry-cask maturation. Dark fruit and cocoa mingle with espresso and black cherry, while iodine, leather and vanilla ride beneath. Spices spark mid-palate—pepper and clove—leading to a long, charcoal-smoked finish with salt and ash lingering.
Finish
Long, peat-kissed finish with coastal smoke and sea-salt notes, evolving into rich sherry-cask sweetness. Dark chocolate and dried fruit emerge alongside espresso, while a peppery warmth lingers, ending in a refined, lingering smokiness.
