Smokehead Sherry Cask Blast Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Includes Branded Glass)
In stock
Smokehead Sherry Bomb is a peaty Islay Single Malt that has well and truly earned it's name. Blasted by rich, sweet and spicy Spanish Sherry casks, it has emerged as a fiery, explosive, heavy hitting dram that has even turned the Smokehead skull red.
Aromas of thick peat lets you know you've got a serious Islay Single Malt on your hands. Then a fruitier, creamier note - soft rich oak, custard and vanilla. Tie yourself down and wait for the hit of oily black smoke, with a rich, heavy mouthcoating peaty feel. The along comes a sweet sticky flavour of barbecued banana, tangy sultanas and dried fruits.
The peat returns on the finish, along with some authentic Spanish Sherry oakiness with it, of which is pleasingly sweet. Finally on last sharp salty reminder that you're not dealy with the ordinary.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with mahogany undertones and a burnished, sherry-kissed glow.
Nose
Thick peat smoke dominates the glass, a bold Islay signature. Beneath it, a creamier sweetness emerges—vanilla custard and soft toasted oak—brightened by subtle fruity notes and a whisper of sherry influence. The aroma is smoky, inviting, and richly layered.
Palate
Oil-drenched and full-bodied, the palate is a peat bomb balanced by rich sherry sweetness. Dense smoke coats the mouth with a waxy custard-vanilla core, while barbecued banana, sultanas and dried fruits linger in syrupy intensity. The finish returns with spicy peat, Spanish sherry oak, and a saline, sweet ember that invites another sip.
Finish
Peat reasserts itself in a long, smoky finish, threaded with rich Spanish sherry oak that lingers with sweetness. A final sharp, saline snap cuts through, delivering a bold, unmistakable Smokehead finish that stays like ember on the palate.
