Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with a sunlit honey glow and a touch of copper.
Nose
Delicate and coastal, this Scapa unfurls with sun-warmed barley, vanilla, and honeyed pear. Bright notes of lemon zest and green apple mingle with almond and a touch of toasted oak. A whisper of sea breeze and faint malt linger in the background, inviting a calm, contemplative sip.
Palate
Silky and medium-bodied, Scapa 13 opens with honeyed malt and creamy vanilla, intertwining orchard fruits with a whisper of almond. Sherried sweetness carries citrus zest, dried apricot and spice, pairing with toasted oak and a trace of coastal salinity for a clean, lingering finish.
Finish
Long, refined finish where coastal brine dissolves into rich cask sweetness. Subtle dried fruit and cocoa linger, guided by gentle spice and oak, with a warm, lingering glow that slowly fades to a soft, maritime echo.
