Classic full-bodied Old Pulteney with a twist of sweetness as they use some Spanish Oak in the maturation process. The familiar depth and complexity is there, but this time with butterscotch, baked pears and unforgettable finish.
Bottled without chill filtering, this is an outstanding dram.
The 17-year-old predominantly features ex-bourbon maturation, with the addition of spirit that has been wholly matured in Spanish wood ex-sherry casks, predominantly Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso. This adds a subtle depth and complexity to the whisky, making for an outstanding after-dinner drink.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery-bronze highlights and a warm, honeyed glow.
Nose
Caramel, biscuit and cake icing lead the nose, blossoming into orchard fruits with a sea-salt breeze. Almond and ginger thread through, with subtle hazelnut and a whisper of powdered chocolate.
Palate
Almond and ginger open the palate, giving way to hazelnut and powdery chocolate with coastal saltiness. Sherry-influenced sweetness threads through butterscotch and baked pear, building to a long, lingering finish.
Finish
A long, sweet finish that lingers with sea-kissed salt, notes of butterscotch and baked pear, and a touch of almond spice. It gradually yields to warm Spanish oak, leaving a soft, memorable afterglow.
