Tasting Notes
Colour
Sherry-hued deep amber with mahogany depth and coppery highlights.
Nose
Opulent PX sherry aroma unleashes a tapestry of dark fruits—raisin, prune, fig and plum—woven with toffee, caramel and a whisper of orange zest. Cocoa nibs, espresso and toasted oak spice mingle with vanilla and almond paste, all carried by bold cask-strength warmth and a refined, lingering sweetness.
Palate
Velvety and opulent, the palate delivers thick PX-driven sweetness—ripe raisins, fig and date, molasses and toffee—woven with dark chocolate and a hint of burnt sugar. Spice erupts with cinnamon and clove, a whisper of orange zest, then vanilla and oak provide structure. At cask strength, a warming, persistent finish unfolds into dried fruit, cocoa, and subtle leather, finished by creamy grain texture.
Finish
PX sherry washes the finish in a luxuriously long, velvety sweetness—raisin, fig and date fruit with dark chocolate and toffee, lightly seasoned by cinnamon and clove. Warm oak lingers, a refined, aromatic fade that slowly echoes.
