Bottled by Signatory Vintage for the Cask Strength Collection, this North British was distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2026 at 34 years old. Matured in a refill Oloroso sherry butt and drawn from single cask #282086, it was bottled at a natural strength of 52.9% ABV, with an outturn of 442 bottles.
Long-aged single grain whisky often develops a particularly polished and elegant style, and the refill Oloroso butt brings extra depth without overwhelming that softness. Here, the cask adds a darker layer of dried fruit, toffee and gentle spice, while the grain spirit keeps its smooth, creamy profile. The result is a mature and characterful whisky with plenty of richness, but also the balance and poise that suit old North British so well.
