Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber with copper-gold hues and a hint of mahogany.
Nose
Aromas of vanilla and toffee from well-seasoned oak, mingled with dried apricot and orange zest. Layered spice—white pepper and nutmeg—drifts with subtle maritime salt and a wisp of smoke. Hints of eucalyptus and polished leather add depth, promising a long, refined journey in the glass.
Palate
Full-bodied and velvety, this single-cask whisky presents a creamy vanilla and toffee sweetness interwoven with ripe stone fruits. Spices from the oak—cinnamon, clove, white pepper—meet dried citrus and cocoa, while a maritime hint keeps it bright. At 52.8% ABV the mouthfeel is lush and warming, with a long, toasted-oak finish lingering with fruit and subtle salt.
Finish
Long, warm finish powered by toasted oak and dark chocolate, with notes of dried citrus and vanilla carrying into a subtle spice. A peppery, resinous tail lingers, tapering to a silky, persistent echo of the barrel’s character.
