A very old 1980's bottle of Macphails single malt from the era when they were using Macallan so we're told. Please note the label on this is badly torn.

Tasting Notes
Colour
A rich burnished amber with copper-bronze undertones, edged in warm mahogany and honey-gold glints.
Nose
Sherried and rich, this nose unfurls dried fig and plum over toffee and vanilla malt. Orange zest adds lift, while walnut-spice and cocoa dust the air. A polished oak backbone hints at aged sherry casks, wrapping the aroma in warm, inviting sweetness.
Palate
Opulent and velvety on the palate, this Highland malt delivers sherried richness of raisin, fig and orange zest. Sweet toffee and dark chocolate mingle with toasted almond, while warm spices—cinnamon and clove—and a kiss of oak vanilla weave through. The 40% ABV provides a gentle warmth, guiding a long, refined finish with lingering fruit and nutty depth.
Finish
Long, refined finish bathing the palate in sherry-kissed sweetness: dried fig and raisin meld with dark chocolate, while spice—cinnamon and clove—drifts through the fading oak. A smooth, warm tail that lingers with a soft nuttiness.
