Ledaig Single Malt Scotch Whisky 10 Year Old
In stock
The classic Ledaig 10 year old from the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull. Using peated barley from the Port Ellen maltings (around 37 ppm if you're interested) this is a bold and punchy whisky that belies it's light and delicate appearance. Sweet, smoky, spicy and coastal.
Medicinal and peaty on the nose, there's floral and grassy notes too. It's a rounded and warming scent that rather draws you in. The flavours are quite saline to begin, oily with sea salt, brine seaweed present along with burnt wood and oaky spice. There is a fruitier element that comes through later with citrus, sweet vanilla and a malty creaminess. The finish is spicy, coastal, smokey and briney.
