This first expression has been finished in hand selected Rioja casks in honour of the Spanish treasure buried deep off our shoreline. Made with heavily peated barley before being matured in ex-bourbon casks, and finished in hand-selected Spanish Rioja casks, this single malt contains powerful flavours of smoke, spice, grape and sweet berries, with a lingering saltiness. The colour is vibrant and sings of rich, red Rioja giving it a beautiful vibrant hue.

Colour
A vibrant, ruby-red hue with a Rioja-rich glow.
Nose
Smoked peat and sea-salt lift the nose, as ripe red fruits—strawberry, cherry, blackberry—unfold with grape skins. A whisper of vanilla and warm Rioja oak brings spice and depth, while a saline edge keeps the aroma fresh and maritime.
Palate
Robust peat smoke rides a spine of warming spice, unfolding into ripe grape and sweet berry notes. Rioja cask finish deepens the red-fruit core with glossy sweetness, while a coastal saline touch threads through, leaving a lingering briny, smoke-kissed finish.
Finish
Peat-driven finish, where Rioja-red fruit and sweet berry notes mingle with peppery spice. A marine saltiness threads through, leaving a warming, tannic kiss that lingers long after the last sip.
