Gold Medal Series (1915) – Bottle # 5 Released 2002
In 1915 the Distillery would win its second award in London, and fifth overall. Awarded the Certificate of the Institute of Hygiene, the commemorative bottle celebrating this achievement was released in 2002.
Beginning in 1996 and continuing for the next 10 years, the Jack Daniel Distillery released its Gold Medal Series of commemorative bottles. Comprised of seven unique designs, each bottle in this series celebrates a different gold medal won by the Distillery. In the U.S., the series featured 750ml bottles filled with 90 proof whiskey. International markets offer these bottles only in a 1 litre size, with the exception of the first bottle in the series which was available only in the 750ml size.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with honeyed highlights and a warm coppery depth, a sunlit, collectible glow.
Nose
Rich vanilla and caramel bloom, with notes of toffee and brown sugar. Toasted oak lends spice and depth, while a whisper of charcoal offers subtle smokiness. Zests of orange and hints of baking spices weave through the sweetness, finishing in an elegant, poised bouquet that hints at the whiskey's smooth, refined character.
Palate
Silky and warmly generous, the palate opens with honeyed vanilla and caramel, lifted by toasted oak. Brown sugar and cinnamon spice expand with hints of citrus zest and a trace of char. The mouthfeel is smooth and medium-bodied, balanced by a gentle warmth that carries into a long, refined finish.
Finish
Silky and enduring, the finish releases vanilla and caramel atop toasted oak, with a gentle wood-spice kiss. The charcoal-mellow sweetness coats the palate, fading to a warm, refined glow that lingers invitingly.
