Gold Medal Decanter Released in 2004
1904 St. Louis, Missouri, was the 4th largest city in the U.S. and would become the host of what was informally known as the St. Louis World’s Fair. The theme of the World’s Fair was “Innovations and Inventions,” and exhibitors did not disappoint. In fact, many foods and products commonly used today were first introduced on a large scale to fair visitors. Such food items as waffle cones, cotton candy, peanut butter, and even Dr. Pepper were made popular as part of this exposition.
To celebrate his own Gold Medal victory, Jack created a special decanter to give as a gift to those who had helped make his award-winning whiskey. In 2004, for the 100th anniversary of the first Gold Medal, another replica decanter nearly identical to that of 1971 was released.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Honeyed amber with copper-gold highlights, a warm, luminous hue that glows with depth as light passes through the glass.
Nose
Opulent vanilla and caramel rise from toasted oak, mingling with brown sugar and silky butterscotch. Subtle citrus zest and ripe orchard fruit brighten the nose, while a whisper of charcoal and a touch of spice—nutmeg and cinnamon—add depth to a warm, refined profile.
Palate
Silky and medium-bodied, this whiskey coats the palate with vanilla and toffee, layered over honeyed caramel and toasted oak. Gentle spices—cinnamon and nutmeg—spark a nuanced warmth, with faint dark-fruit notes adding depth. The trademark charcoal mellowing keeps it velvety, delivering a long, warm finish of vanilla, caramel and spice.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish with warm vanilla and caramel blooming into toasted oak. Silky, charcoal-mellowed grain glides across the palate, slowly yielding spice and a whisper of citrus zest, leaving an enduring, refined warmth.
