Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and mahogany edges, a rich, sherry-kissed glow.
Nose
Rich sherry-cask perfume, unfolding into dried fig, raisin and orange zest, with toffee and burnt sugar. Notes of walnut and almond praline mingle with vanilla, cocoa nibs, cinnamon and clove. Subtle oak polish and a whisper of coffee grounds lend a velvet, dessert-like finish.
Palate
Silky and honeyed on the palate, with toffee, raisin and fig sweetness tempered by bright orange zest and dark chocolate. Velvety vanilla and almond paste cushion a refined mouthfeel as baking spices—cinnamon, clove, nutmeg—emerge. A rich sherry backbone coats polished oak, finishing long and warm, cocoa-saturated with hints of dried red fruit.
Finish
Silky, long finish drenched in sherry sweetness, with dark fruit compote, fig and prune, a touch of burnt sugar, and toasted oak. Spices glow softly as the warmth lingers, leaving a refined, velvety fade that coats the palate.
