Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep golden amber with warm honey tones and a coppery-bronze glow.

Nose

Vanilla bean and honey fuse with creamy custard and warm oak, a kiss of coconut and almond. Citrus zest and soft spice drift over grain sweetness, revealing orchard fruit and a hint of lemon balm. Elegant, airy, and distinctly refined, this nose speaks of long maturation in a single bourbon cask.

Palate

Silky, creamy mouthfeel with honeyed vanilla, caramel and toasted oak; bright citrus zest threads through soft grain sweetness. Almond notes, white pepper and delicate spice broaden the palate, finishing with gentle oak and lingering sweetness.

Finish

A long, silky finish that lingers with vanilla and warm oak, weaving in caramelized honey, toasted cereal and a kiss of citrus zest. Subtle spice unfurls, then eases into a refined, nutty echo as the oak leaves a lasting, comforting warmth.

Invergordon
(in-ver-GOR-dun) Invergordon was founded in 1959 and began operations in 1961, making it a relatively modern distillery by Scotch whisky standards. Built in the Highland town of the same name, it is unusual in being a grain distillery in a region better known for single malt, and it remains Scotland’s northernmost grain distillery. The site was created to produce whisky on a large scale, and it later became part of Whyte & Mackay in 1993.
