Glenury Royal (silent) Single Highland Malt Whisky 36 Year Old · 1970 Vintage
Out of stock
A stunning Glenury Royal 36 Year Old limited edition bottling that was distilled at the Glenury distillery in 1970 (sadly closed in 1985). It brings an incredible array of smooth, sweet and moreish notes on the nose and palate, and with only 1,926 bottles produced, it’s highly collectable.
One of only a handful of long-aged distillery-bottled releases of Glenury Royal. This is a very special whisky from a tragically lost distillery.
Arguably the best Diageo release from Glenury.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a mahogany-tinged depth.
Nose
An opulent sherried bouquet of dark fruit and honeyed sweetness. Raisins, fig and orange zest mingle with velvety toffee, almond praline and a touch of cacao, all wrapped in warm, polished oak. The nose hints at richness to come—luxurious, persistent, and inviting.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and indulgent on the palate, with lush sherried fruit, dried plum and cherry, and rich fig toffee. Velvet oak spices—cinnamon and clove—balance a roasted coffee edge, delivering a long, warming finish of dark chocolate and nutty nuances.
Finish
An exceptionally long, velvety finish that clings with sherry-edged sweetness—ripe fig and raisin, orange zest and dark chocolate—spiced with cinnamon and cloves, and finished by polished oak with a warm, lingering malted glow.
