A very rare Glenmorangie 25 year old finished in Malaga casks for its final year of maturation. Malaga is a sweet fortified wine from strangely enough Malaga in Spain and made from PX and Moscatel grapes.
Very mellow and after dinner single malt that is almost cognac like in its moutfeel and dried fruit like quality.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany undertone.
Nose
Stewed red fruit and peppery berries lead, with plum jam, waxy, cordial notes, panettone with glace cherry, and a grapey, oak-kissed anise.
Palate
Grapey, waxy orange leads the palate, with chocolate, red berries and sultana-raisins. Cinnamon toast spice and polished oak frame a long, warm finish, a touch of waxy sweetness lingering.
Finish
An indulgent, lingering finish: grapey sweetness coats the palate, weaving waxy orange peel with a dried fruit medley of raisin and sultana. Spiced plums, cinnamon and a hint of chocolate orange emerge, all wrapped in polished oak with a cognac-like warmth.
