Glenmorangie 80:20 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 21 Year Old · 1978 Vintage
Out of stock
The accident which happened back in 1999 when mistakenly some Glenmorangie 21 Year old casks got mixed together at a ratio of 80% Glenmorangie & 20% of something else at the bottling plant when no one was paying attention, hence the name 80:20. The label artwork is also pretty cool and is actually a scannable barcode.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Radiant golden amber with sunlit honey tones and a subtle copper glow, hinting at sherry influence and aged depth.
Nose
Opulent and complex, the nose opens with honeyed citrus, vanilla and creamy oak, then unfolds into rich sherry-dried fruits—prune, fig and raisin—balanced by toasted almond and a cocoa undertone. A softly spiced, elegant Highland perfume.
Palate
Silky and richly rounded, the palate reveals a sherried depth with dark fruit and spice. Raisin, fig and orange zest rise beside toasted almond and vanilla, all wrapped in supple oak with a whisper of cacao. Elegant and persistent, the finish lingers with warm caramel and a refined, drying spice.
Finish
Silky, long finish that lingers with orchard fruit sweetness, a hint of orange zest, and toffee, slowly yielding to warm oak, cocoa, and gentle spice.
