Tasting Notes
Nose
Cherry compote and toasted almonds form the backbone of a rich, fruity aroma. Navel oranges studded with cloves drift with vanilla cream and rich toffee, building with time as gentle spices rise to the fore.
Palate
Juicy and thick with rich blackberry sweetness. Warming cinnamon spice and herbaceous tones intertwine with blood-orange citrus, crushed pink peppercorns and barley-sugar notes. Dense, dark fruit – juicy damsons and sloes, and baked apples – shows the influence of slow maturation in high-quality sherry casks.
Finish
Lingering spice and dried fruits envelop the palate.
