Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Unboxed)
Out of stock
A Special one-off limited edition bottling created from both ex-bourbon & Oloroso sherry casks, aged between 13-30 years old. These casks were stored in a warehouse which on the 7th January 2010, due to the weight of hundreds of tonnes of snow that had fallen in Speyside that winter, suffered from a collapsed roof.
A cult Whisky from the day it was first released and sure to be talked about for many many years to come. The follow up bottle to this is the Glenfidich 125th Anniversary bottling.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich tawny amber with copper highlights and a burnished-gold glow.
Nose
Opulent, winter-warm nose of vanilla and caramel from ex-bourbon, mingling with rich Oloroso sherry notes of dried fig, raisin and toasted almond. Hints of orange zest, dark chocolate and polished oak, with cinnamon and nutmeg lending gentle spice. A refined, indulgent prelude to the whisky’s layered palate.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied on the palate, delivering bourbon-driven vanilla and toffee fused with robust Oloroso sherry sweetness. Dried fig, raisin and orange zest rise, followed by cocoa nibs and warm spice. Notes of toasted oak weave through, yielding a long, luxurious, well-balanced finish.
Finish
Long, opulent finish with vanilla and caramel from the bourbon casks, layered with Oloroso sherry notes of dried fig, raisin and dark chocolate. Subtle oak spice and a warm citrus zest linger, fading to a refined, lingering sweetness.
