Glenfiddich Havana Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky 21 Year Old
Out of stock
Featured in the 1001 whiskies you must try before you die book
One of the top Glenfiddich bottles for collectors as it was banned from sale in the USA due to the Cuba / Havana references and thus consequentially re-branded. Most of these original bottles were consumed (this really is an excellent dram so we're told by Glenfiddich experts) so this is now a very rare bottle to find indeed.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with a copper-bronze glow and subtle mahogany undertones.
Nose
Opulent nose of dark prune and raisin, treacle fig and orange zest, unfolding to cocoa nibs, coffee bean and rich toffee. Hints of toasted almond and vanilla mingle with a whisper of cigar box and leather from 21 years in sherry casks. Elegant, warm and lingering, with refined oak spice and a graceful sweetness that nods to its Havana heritage.
Palate
Opulent and velvety, this opens with dark fig and plum sweetness shaded by sherry. Roasted almond, cacao nibs and espresso emerge, joined by warm spice. The finish wears polished oak, tobacco notes and orange zest, lingering long with a refined, chocolate-tinged sweetness.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish with polished oak and a rich sherry sweetness. Dried fruits, dark chocolate, and toasted almond linger, followed by spice and orange zest. Warm and velvety, it fades to refined tobacco notes and a subtle oak echo.
