Tasting Notes

Colour

Rich golden amber with coppery undertones and a mahogany edge.

Nose

Sun-warmed barley and honeyed malt rise from the glass, carried by ripe pear and green apple. A delicate floral lift floats above vanilla sweetness, while toasted biscuit and light spice add warmth. A peppery edge hints at its pot-still craft, lending a clean, malt-forward aroma with quiet complexity and inviting finesse.

Palate

Silkily malt-forward, the palate delivers toasty biscuit and honeyed sweetness, brightened by sherry-influenced dried fruit. Cinnamon and clove spice thread through orange zest, with a subtle oak backbone supporting a velvety, long finish that lingers with refined warmth.

Finish

Silky, lingering finish with warm spice and sherry sweetness. Dried fig, date and walnut unfold over toasted oak, followed by cocoa and soft espresso notes. A gently drying, refined finale that lingers, inviting another sip.

(Glen-Flag-Ler) Glen Flagler was a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky produced within the Moffat distilling complex at Airdrie in North Lanarkshire. The complex was built by Inver House Distillers in the mid-1960s to supply malt and grain whisky for blends, with Garnheath producing grain whisky and separate pot stills used for malt styles including Glen Flagler, Killyloch and the heavily peated Islebrae. The name Glen Flagler did not come from a Scottish glen, but from Flagler Avenue in West Palm Beach, Florida, where Publicker Industries owner Simon Neuman had a home.
