Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a warm, honey-gold glow.
Nose
Rich and inviting, the nose layers ripe orchard fruit with creamy vanilla and polished oak. Spices rise boldly—cinnamon, nutmeg, clove—under a robust sherry backbone of raisin, fig, and cocoa. A touch of leather and almond adds depth, signaling a bold, lingering warmth.
Palate
Opulent and robust, this Glen Elgin coats the palate with a waxy, full-bodied texture. Dried fruit sweetness—raisin and fig—meets warming spice: cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg, with a hint of orange zest. Cocoa nibs, almond and toasted oak deepen the profile, finishing long with peppery spice and a whisper of sherry influence.
Finish
Long, warming finish with sherry-driven fruit and spice. Dried fig and prune mingle with cinnamon and clove, while oaky tannins linger, fading to a cocoa-tinged, peppery warmth that persists on the palate.
