FEW Three Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey
In stock
From Evanston, Illinois, a city that suffered Prohibition for over one hundred years and FEW rather cheekily takes its name from the initials of Frances Elizabeth Willard, a key figure in the Temperance Movement.
This spirit, distilled through timeless liquor-making techniques, utilizes a three-grain recipe that infuses generations of Southern tradition with the spiciness of northern rye and a touch of malt for smoothness.
FEW is hand-crafted through a small-batch process in charred oak barrels to age its bourbon whiskey.
The bottle is adorned with a label showing off some local heritage, depicting a scene from the Chicago World’s Fair of 1892.
Plenty to enjoy here and another craft American distillery to get excited about going by the consistent offerings i have tried so far.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a honey-gold, sunlit glow.
Nose
Bold with spice—clove and nutmeg—driving through roasted coffee beans, toasted oats, and dark caramel. Charred oak adds depth as baked banana and butterscotch/hot fudge sauce mingle with a hint of fresh mint, inviting a warm, dessert-like complexity.
Palate
Rich toffee and dark chocolate unfold on the palate, woven with honeycomb sweetness, toasted spices—clove, nutmeg and cardamom—together with dark charred oak, aromatic honey, and hints of orange zest and mint.
Finish
Spicy and syrupy, finishing with rich toffee and butterscotch. Spices and charred oak linger, shaded by minty rye and a kiss of chocolate.
