FEW Flaming Lips Brainville Rye Whiskey
In stock
A collaborative Rye whiskey created by F.E.W Spirits and The Flaming Lips, Brainville Rye Whiskey is made from a combination of rye, corn and malted barley (Mashbill: 70% Rye, 20% Corn & 10% Malted Barley) grown within 150 miles of the distillery.
The mash is fermented using a French wine yeast, said to give the whiskey a stone-fruit, apple and pear flavour profile. The liquid is subsequently aged in new, charred American oak barrels custom-made in Minnesota.
Presented in Few Spirits’ signature rectangular bottle, Brainville Rye Whiskey will carry a psychedelic label designed by Justin Helton from Knoxville-based studio Status Serigraph. A release of 5000 bottles.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm, honeyed glow.
Nose
A bright, orchard-fresh aroma of pear and apple with subtle stone-fruit lift, courtesy of the wine yeast. Vanilla and toasted oak from new charred American barrels lend warmth, while rye spice adds a light, peppery edge. Clean, buoyant and inviting, with a delicate sweetness that hints at the collaboration’s playful spirit.
Palate
On the palate, stone-fruit and pear mingle with crisp apple, lifted by rye spice—white pepper and a hint of cinnamon. Subtle corn sweetness and a creamy texture provide balance, while new charred oak adds vanilla, toast and light cedar. Fruit carries through a long, polished finish, warming with spice and a lingering oak glow.
Finish
Long, warming finish. Rye spice persists, weaving through bright stone-fruit, apple and pear echoes from the yeast-influenced mash, while charred new oak lends vanilla and toasted sweetness. A refined, lingering warmth with a subtle cinnamon kiss.
