Deanston Virgin Oak Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Includes Tasting Glass)
Out of stock
Virgin oak is new American white oak that has not been used as a cask before so has not been flavoured by anything but the spirit of the distillery. You may have seen or tried Auchentohan, Glen garioch or Benriach versions of a virgin oak release. Now it is the turn of South Highland Deanston to offer up its take on Virgin oak. Lots of very direct spicy coconut, white chocolate, vanilla, milky mocha and toasted oak.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright golden amber with sunlit honey and a creamy, pale straw glow.
Nose
Fresh, summery aromas of heather honey and vanilla, with green apples, citrus zest, and subtle notes of sweet malt and spice.
Palate
Candied fruits coat the palate with soft creamy toffee as citrus zest brightens the mouth; ginger and clove weave through the sweetness, leaving a gentle spice that lingers over toasted oak.
Finish
Lightly spiced, it ends with a bright burst of honeyed malt and citrus, tempered by sweet oak that lingers with a warm, refined sweetness.
