First filled into bourbon casks before being finished in PX casks, this cask strength 12 year old limited distillery exclusive combines creamy strawberries, dates, raisins and orange marmalade with hints of oak, liquorice and leather to create a truly stunning dram.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Nuts and rich oak lead the aroma, layered with caramel, coffee and dark chocolate, plus sultanas and figs, with a hint of leather.

Palate

Dates and raisins are met with orange marmalade, vanilla pods, muscovado sugar and a warm clove spice.

Finish

Creamy strawberries with hints of oak and liquorice.

Deanston
(DEANS-ton) Deanston began life in 1785 as a cotton mill on the banks of the River Teith near Doune, before Brodie Hepburn converted the site into a whisky distillery in the 1960s. The distillery opened in 1966, with the first single malt under the Deanston name released in 1974. The old mill buildings still shape the site today, including maturation in the former weaving sheds and power generated from the River Teith.
