Silky and vibrant, it opens with vanilla and honey from ex-bourbon, giving way to red-berry and raisin notes from the sherry and red wine casks. Medium-bodied, with a subtle spice, toasted almond, and orange zest, all wrapped in warm oak. The finish is long and fruity, with a delicate sweetness and a gentle, peppery lift that lingers.
