Tasting Notes
Colour
Copper-amber with honey-gold highlights and a warm mahogany glow.
Nose
Bold rye spice and grain leap from the glass, backed by glossy vanilla and toasted caramel from the charred American oak. Warm pepper, clove and a whisper of smoke mingle with lush oak aromatics, hinting at evolving depth as the barrel breathes with each fill.
Palate
Bold, high-spirited rye on the palate—peppery heat and baking spices ride a dense, grain-forward body. Notes of spiced vanilla, brown sugar and toasted oak mingle with citrus zest, delivering a rich, warming profile. At 62% ABV the spirit coats with assertive structure, finishing long with smoky oak and rye spice that will deepen with each fill.
Finish
Long, warming finish of toasted oak, vanilla, and caramel, with rye spice lingering boldly. Subtle smoke and peppery warmth fade slowly, leaving a soft, lingering ember of sweetness and depth.
