Copper Fox Wasmunds Rappahannock Pot Stilled Whiskey
In stock
The American Single Malt has been aged in a crazy combination of Ex-Bourbon casks and Apple and cherry wood chips. The Scotch Whisky Association would never allow this in the UK!
A funky American whiskey from Rick Wasmund who is somewhat of a Willy Wonka of the whisky world and based in Virginia which is more famous for its tobacco than its whisky and there is somewhat of the flavoured pipe tobacco about this. Great if you want to try something different but not one for the whisky purest!

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich copper with amber depths and sunlit honey-gold highlights.
Nose
Vanilla and caramel from ex-Bourbon mingle with bright apple and cherry wood notes. A delicate smoke threads through the aroma, with hints of pipe tobacco and charred oak, finished by a whisper of spice—playful, bold and warmly inviting.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate of honeyed vanilla and caramel from ex-bourbon, lifted by apple and cherry wood smoke. Rich malt sweetness meets orchard fruit, with a sly note of pipe tobacco, a hint of spice and warm wood. Finish is long and inviting, echoing sweet fruit and subtle smoke.
Finish
Long, warming finish with orchard fruit and a subtle apple-wood smoke. Vanilla, spice and cherry-wood sweetness linger, leaving a tobacco-tinged, charred warmth that slowly fades into a clean, lightly fruity tail.
