A rye spirit that's not allowed to be called whisky in the UK as it's under 3 years or even in its home-town in the USA as it's not been matured in new charred American oak. The label also states that Apple-wood & Oak chips have been used whilst maturing in an ex-Bourbon cask.

Copper Fox was founded by Rick Wasmund in Sperryville, Virginia, after time in Scotland learning traditional floor malting at Bowmore. The Sperryville distillery opened in January 2005 in a former apple cider factory, and the business now also operates a second Virginia site in Williamsburg in the renovated Lord Paget Hotel.
