Compass Box The General Limited Edition Blended Scotch Whisky 33 Year Old
Out of stock
A ridiculously rare creation from two old, but extremely complementary, parcels of Blended Scotch whisky that had each been marrying for 33 and 40 years respectively. Bottled at cask strength, this has extraordinary depth, with aromas and flavours reminiscent of spices, dried fruits and old sherry wine character. The finish is very, very long. A classic late-night-and-into-the-early morning whisky.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep coppery amber with mahogany undertones and a warm, wine-bronze glow.
Nose
Opulent and aged on the nose: dried figs, raisins and dates mingle with dark chocolate and orange zest, while a bold spice spectrum—cinnamon, clove, nutmeg—drifts over polished oak. Subtle leather and tobacco notes echo old sherry warmth, hinting at decades in cask and the depth to follow.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate delivering layered dried fruits—figs, raisins, sultanas—woven with spices: cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Sherry wine depth lends cocoa, leather and restrained sweetness, all cloaked in cask-strength warmth. Rich, precise and luxurious, it glides to a very long, echoing finish.
Finish
An exceptionally long, luxurious finish that lingers with velvet warmth. Spices and dried fruits unfurl into a deep old sherry echo, supported by delicate oak and sherried sweetness, persisting well into the afterglow.
