Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-gold with lush amber highlights and a burnished mahogany undertone.
Nose
An elegantly smoky nose, maritime peat with Caol Ila’s iodine and a touch of Talisker’s peppery smoke, weaving through briny air. Sherry‑driven echoes of dried fig and raisin mingle with waxy citrus from Clynelish, and Brora‑like coastal wax. A hint of new French oak adds vanilla spice to frame a poised, rich complexity.
Palate
Powerful, elegant smoke sits at the center, with Caol Ila’s coastal peat and Talisker’s sea-fire mingling beneath a rich sherry gloss from refill butts. Dried fig and dark chocolate unfold, bright orange zest lifts the mid-palate, while Brora adds a waxy, briny depth. A kiss of new French oak enhances the velvet richness, delivering a velvety, savory finish of smoke, spice and maritime warmth.
Finish
Long, smoky finish that coats the palate with Caol Ila peat, Sherry sweetness and a marine zipper of salt and pepper from Talisker. Brora adds mineral depth, while a trace of new French oak threads a velvety richness. The aftertaste unfolds in waves—dark cacao, leather, and smoke—lingering with warmth and a refined, oak-kissed glow.
