Cambus (silent) Murray McDavid Mission Gold Series Single Grain Scotch Whisky 30 Year Old · 1990 Vintage
In stock
This superb Single Grain Whisky is from the now silent Cambus Distillery. The casks of Cambus spirit that were bottled were some of the last produced before the distillery was demolished in 1993. Today, sadly nothing remains of this once great distillery. The Whisky Creations Team filled three surviving casks of Cambus spirit into freshly emptied Limousin Oak casks that previously held luscious French Cognac. After fourteen months of close monitoring, this beautiful heritage spirit was ready to be bottled and shared.
Initially there is a subtle spiciness on the nose, along with stem ginger and floral oak. Flavours of leather, cloves and apple crumble are in abundance on the palate. The finish is long and peppery with hints of liquorice.
