Single cask release by a new inependent bottle company The Exclusive Malts from the lightest of the Islay distilleries, Bunnahabhain and this yielded only 238 bottles from a re-fill hogshead.
A fresh & waxy white stone and citrus led Bunnahabhain with a salty and singed cereal quality and non of the big medicinal notes that you get from the rest of the heavily peated Islay malts.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Pale straw with a light, sunlit gold gleam.
Nose
Salty, waxy lemon rind leads the nose, with quince and apricot, fresh cereal, a drizzle of runny honey, and a whisper of singed barley smoke.
Palate
Waxy quince jelly with lots of citrus, apricot curd, burnt straw, subtle salty and spiced ginger on ripe honeydew melon.
Finish
Salt-kissed and long, the finish delivers ripe apricot and melon, waxy quince, and barley sugar, brightened by lemongrass and ginger, with a distant smoke and pepper.
