Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with coppery warmth and a touch of mahogany at the edges. The Port Pipe finish gives a wine-bronze glow, bright and inviting when held to light.
Nose
Port pipe finish infuses the nose with dark, wine-like richness: dried plum, fig and cherry mingle with ripe red berries. Vanilla, toffee and toasted oak rise beneath, while a subtle sea-air and maritime malt keep the aroma buoyant and coastal. A warming note from the high ABV threads through, suggesting spice and refined sweetness to come.
Palate
A lush, wine-kissed richness coats the palate, where ripe red berries and plum meet toffee, fig and a hint of cocoa. The port influence brings sweetness and depth without masking the coastal, lightly saline core, while subtle spice and mature oak add complexity. Full-bodied and velvety, with a warming, long finish that lingers with fruit, cacao and maritime warmth.
Finish
Long, port-influenced finish that lingers with dark fruit, fig and plum, touched by vanilla. Subtle maritime brine and coastal oak echo in the background, settling into a warm, spice-kissed fade.
