Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark copper-amber with mahogany depth and ruby highlights.
Nose
Opulent sherry aroma: dark prune and fig meld with orange zest, cloaked in rich Oloroso. Cocoa, toasted almond, vanilla and oak spice weave through, while a whisper of sea salt and coastal air lingers in the background. The elevated ABV adds a warming, resinous depth to the perfume.
Palate
Velvety, full-bodied palate with first-fill Oloroso depth. Dried figs, prunes and raisin mingle with burnt sugar, toffee and cocoa on a waxy, oily texture. A citrus brightness and a kiss of spice—cinnamon and clove—keep it lively. Warmth from the high ABV lingers with maritime salt, cocoa nibs and a long, bittersweet finish.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish of dark fruit, walnut and cocoa from the first-fill Oloroso. Raisin, date and vanilla mingle with cinnamon and clove, while velvet oak lingers, warming the palate into a lasting, refined fade.
