From Distell's Limited Release series comes a rather tasty Bunnahabhain that has been matured in Manzanilla Sherry casks.
Distilled in 2008 and initially matureed in American Oak barrels, this has spent a finishing period in ex Manzanilla Sherry casks, a variety of Fino Sherry made around the port of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, in the province of Cádiz, Andalusia. These casks have added a fruity, sweet and nutty character to the whisky.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with coppery highlights and a honeyed glow.
Nose
Salted caramel, creamy berries, rich oak, honeyed cashew nuts, dried fruit and spice.
Palate
On the palate, dried fruit and figs unfold with ribbons of sweet malt and candied fruit, mingling with rich oak and toffee. A gentle, nutty sweetness from the Manzanilla finish lingers elegantly.
Finish
Dried fruits linger with salted caramel, a warm, softly creamy finish that echoes nutty oak and a whisper of spice.
