Tasting Notes
Colour
Straw-gold with a delicate honey glow and a subtle amber edge catching the light.
Nose
Maritime, with smoked haddock in warm butter and a pronounced kippery edge. Savoury peat-smoke opens the nose, then a subtle sweetness emerges, with hints of burnt rubber lingering behind the salty, fresh-sea notes.
Palate
Soft, sweet peat with a subtle medicinal edge, unfolding blueberries and apricots on the palate. A crack of black pepper rounds the finish, leaving a bright, approachable peated Islay malt.
Finish
Long, peated and maritime on the finish, a peppery, medicinal bite that lingers with soft sweetness and fades to a briny, dry warmth, leaving wisps of blueberries and apricots.
