Buffalo Trace Kosher Straight Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey
Out of stock
Buffalo Trace Distillery produced this Wheat Recipe Bourbon in a partnership with the Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc). Made with the same high quality grains as W.L. Weller Bourbon Whiskey, this Kosher spirit was aged in specifically designated Kosher barrels. Although not kosher for Passover, in order to avoid issues of Jewish ownership over Passover, these barrels were sold to a non-Jewish executive in a ceremony witnessed by a representative from the cRc.
After aging for seven years, this Wheat Recipe Bourbon was bottled at 94 proof after ensuring the bottling lines were cleaned beforehand and that no contact was made with non-Kosher spirits. Released after Passover each year, this Wheat Recipe Bourbon stands alone, a tribute to the legacy of America’s oldest continually-operating distillery.

Colour
Rich amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm, honeyed glow.
Nose
Bright vanilla and caramel rise first, layered with toasted oak and rye spice. Honeyed grain, cinnamon, and white pepper mingle with orange zest and a hint of cocoa. Subtly dried fruit adds depth, while a clean, polished sweetness lifts the bouquet into a graceful, inviting nose.
Palate
Silky, wheat-forward elegance coats the tongue with creamy vanilla, caramel and orchard honey, balanced by toasted grain and a gentle baking-spice kiss. Subdued citrus zest brightens the mid-palate, while fine oak lends structure. The finish is warm and refined, with a soft, lingering sweetness and a whisper of spice.
Finish
Long, refined finish with vanilla and caramel sweetness, carried by rye spice and toasted oak, fading to a clean, lingering warmth.
