Tasting Notes
Colour
Radiant golden amber with honeyed warmth and a pale copper edge, gleaming like sunset on barley.
Nose
Organic barley grounds the nose, releasing honey and toffee with vanilla and iced sponge cake. Zesty lemon threads through a bright medley of fruits—apple, pear, papaya, kiwi and gooseberry—adding crisp, fragrant lift to this elegant Islay dram.
Palate
Silky barley sugar leads with honeyed lemon, toffee and vanilla. Toasted rye bread and popcorn add warm, biscuit-like depth, while jelly beans hint at playful sweetness. Fragrant fruits—apple, pear, gooseberry, papaya and kiwi—brighten the mid-palate with a zesty lift. A whisper of light peat threads through, finishing clean and exhilarating with orchard fruit lingering.
Finish
Elegant and lingering, with honeyed vanilla and toffee melting into lemon zest and orchard fruits. Subtle barley sugar and toasted grain persist, while a light, smoky whisper from the peat adds a refined, drying finish that echoes popcorn and jelly beans long after the sip.
