Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with a warm honey glow and a touch of coppery depth.
Nose
Opulent and refined, the nose reveals honeyed pears and apricots with citrus zest and vanilla-tinged oak. Dried fig, almond, and rich sherry sweetness unfold into cocoa and spice, all carried by a subtle waxy coastal freshness that whispers Bruichladdich’s Islay character.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and creamy on the palate. Rich sherry influence blankets the tongue with figs, raisins and dark chocolate, intertwined with orange zest, vanilla and toasted almond. Coastal salt threads through delicate spice from the oak—cinnamon, clove and a hint of pepper—adding warmth. The finish is long and elegant, with dried fruit, cocoa and a whisper of maritime sweetness lingering softly.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish driven by the sherry cask: raisin and fig sweetness gives way to dark chocolate and toasted almond, with a core of spice and vanilla. A gentle coastal saltiness threads through the tail, leaving a warm, lingering ember of oak, cocoa and caramel that slowly fades.
